As part of TESDA
Secretary DG Joel Villanueva’s projects and his aim to achieve inclusive growth
through decent and productive work for Filipino people, the Technical Education
and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) of Negros Occidental and Kabankalan
City held a formal launching program for selected Certified TESDA
graduates who are officially part of TESDA Spesyalista Technopreneurship
Program (TSTP) or Samahang Spesyalista ng TESDA in Automotive Services in Kabankalan
City, Negros Occidental.
The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement and turn-over of toolkits to beneficiaries by TESDA and opening of contact center was on April 02, 2012, during the launching ceremony.
The project aims to assist the 10
TESDA-certified graduates in Automotive Servicing National Competency (NCII) to
form a group and start their self-employment enterprise. TESDA has provided each of them with basic tools to start their service jobs.
The tools will be collectively managed
by the group at the Contact Center in a space provided by Mayor Isidro Zayco at the Commercial Center,
Bonifacio Street, Kabankalan City.
TESDA has also designated a Project
Coordinator to assist the group in developing their entrepreneurial capability.
Other grouping will be formed by TESDA
in collaboration with the provincial and city governments and
Technical/Vocational institutions in Negros Occidental within the year for the
agencies certified graduates.
